There was only one option in his piece and that was a one hour hand. So if someone wanted to know about the half hours then it was impossible to find out with the help of that piece.
Then in 1577, a mathematician who was Dutch and his name was Christian Huygens did some amendments in the clock work of Henlein. And then after 4 years he ultimately invented a piece which had other qualities as well that it told about minutes and strict time. This was an spectacular, invention in pendulum wall clocks. As a mathematician he wanted to find out the way to tell the strict time and because of his strong efforts he in fact achieved this thing.
